The Yair boasts six charming holiday cottages, each one offering a tranquil and comfortable base from which to enjoy a country escape, surrounded by ancient forests and the rugged beauty of the Scottish Borders. Located on the grounds of The Yair estate, the cottages are located approximately 35 miles from historic Edinburgh and just a ten-minute drive from the nearest train station.
Each cottage is spacious, well appointed and offers all modern conveniences including a fully equipped kitchen and WiFi. Cottages Braefoot 1 and 2 also share a secure drying room in which to store fishing, walking or outdoor equipment and of course, bikes. The cottages are comfortably furnished with cosy beds and living and dining areas to unwind in, while a private tennis court, the Southern Upland Way, Glentress mountain biking centre and countless walking routes ensure that visitors can make the most of the surrounding area. Guests staying at The Yair during the fishing season, from April to September, are also given the opportunity to fish for trout on The Yair’s private section of the River Tweed, free of charge.
