Mountain Biking in the Tweed Valley

The Tweed Valley is internationally recognised for its mountain biking and is one of the main reasons visitors come here. We are very fortunate to have some excellent trails on our doorstep here at Yair and the popular 7 states centre of Glentress and Innerleithen are close by, even accessible by biking over the hills. There are trails to suit all abilities and there are a number of local companies that offer instruction and guiding. Furthermore there are plenty of bikes rental outlets nearby suiting those who need to travel lightly.

Road Cyling in the Scottish Borders

With quiet roads and spectacular views the Scottish Borders really offer a stunning range of road cycling opportunities. Annual events like the ‘Tour of the Borders’ taking place annually in the Tweed Valley really showcases what the area has to offer.
